PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Keegan Good (ranked 2744 p4p, 24749 weight class) and Michael Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Michael Sanchez was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 25 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Keegan Good!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Michael Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Sanchez.
Good lands a jab to the head.
Keegan Good seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sanchez defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Good.

Sanchez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Good was covering up waiting for the punch and Sanchez finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Sanchez tries to free his leg and advance position but Good is retaining full guard.
Sanchez throws a big elbow that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Good pushes off an throws an elbow but Sanchez leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Good lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Sanchez backwards.

Sanchez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Good connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Sanchez momentarily.

Sanchez tries to keep at a distance but Good has taken the fight into the clinch.

Good looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Good tries to sprawl but Sanchez drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Good trying to control from the bottom.
Sanchez stops Good from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Good keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Sanchez wants to pass to mount but Good is defending the position.
Sanchez is looking to take a break and control but Good is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Sanchez wants to clinch up but Good keeps it at a distance.
Sanchez lands with a kick to the temple. Good shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sanchez lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Sanchez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Good swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nice takedown defense from Sanchez. No joy for Good on that attempt.

Good is breathing heavily.

Sanchez shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Good manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Good got a little sloppy there for a moment and Sanchez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Good has managed to get both his arms back between Sanchez's legs - danger averted.

Sanchez fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Good, pushing him back against the cage.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Good creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Good gets control of Sanchez's arms and successfully pulls guard. Good will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Sanchez manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Good manages to get himself to full guard.

Good is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

That was a close second round but I would say that Keegan Good will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Good swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Good throws a half hearted mid kick.
Good thows a left - swing and a miss!
Good avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Good throws a combination. Sanchez tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
No luck for Sanchez with that takedown attempt.

Sanchez throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Good tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sanchez is in Good's guard.

Good leaves Sanchez with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Keegan Good has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Sanchez.
