Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nembo Lisumbu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Evan Law!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Law staying out of range there.
Lisumbu fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Lisumbu punishes Law's body with a nice straight punch.
Lisumbu thuds a left hand into Law's body.
We've been told by Lisumbu's head coaches at Cozad MMA Montreal that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Lisumbu connects with a right hand. Law shakes it off.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Law has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Law takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Law looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Law needs to keep his hands up - Lisumbu had a free shot at his head there.
Law is rocked!
Lisumbu circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Law to the canvas! Law doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Lisumbu keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nembo Lisumbu!
Nembo Lisumbu really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Squirrel Sports Nutrition 🐿️ logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
