Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Darrell Darkins (ranked 327 p4p, 154 weight class) and Essien Ekuoba (ranked 46 p4p, 20 weight class). Darkins comes to the cage accompanied by Throne. Ekuoba comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Pure Water kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Darrell Darkins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 17 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Essien Ekuoba! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.
 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ekuoba jabbing away but nothing is landing. Darrell Darkins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Darkins wants to clinch. Ekuoba doesn't manage to clinch there - Darkins circles away.
Darkins is looking to counter punch. A looping hook to the body misses from Darkins. Ekuoba does a little dance to reset his feet. Darkins shoots and misses and Ekuoba counters with a lovely straight right hand!
 It looks like Darrell Darkins has been cut. Ekuoba uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Darkins.
Ekuoba takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Darkins shoots in and bounces Ekuoba off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Ekuoba wants to stand but Darkins is controlling the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Darkins content to stall in guard here. Ekuoba is looking to stand up but Darkins isn't so interested in that idea.
 That's one minute gone in the round. Darkins engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Darkins trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Darkins controls from within his opponent's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
 The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Ekuoba wants to clinch up but Darkins keeps it at a distance. A little feinted left hand from Darkins on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Darkins has been working on his boxing with his coaches at KO MMA in the buildup to the fight. Darkins throws a jab but it's blocked by Ekuoba. Ekuoba has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Darkins throws an off balance right hand
and Ekuoba cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Ekuoba tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Ekuoba works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Ekuoba drops Darkins with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Darkins! Ekuoba dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Essien Ekuoba!
