Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Sandahl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sandahl comes to the cage accompanied by Neil Young - Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sandahl throws a hook but Parker blocks it. Sandahl fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Parker checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Parker gets a takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Parker takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Parker is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Sandahl actively working from the bottom here. Sandahl blocking the ground and pound attempt from Parker. Parker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Sandahl is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Parker pulls his head out easily. Parker sitting and controlling from the half guard. Sandahl is staying active underneath Parker, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Parker throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Parker is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Sandahl has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parker prevents Sandahl from improving his position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Parker keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Sandahl misses with a series of wild punches.
Parker shoots in and bounces Sandahl off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Parker avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Sandahl working for a triangle but Parker defends it easily.
Sandahl is breathing heavily. Parker slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sandahl looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Parker looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Sandahl keeping moving, preventing Parker from controlling successfully. Parker looking to pass the guard. Parker is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Parker trying to control the position from guard on top but Sandahl is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parker seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Sandahl is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Parker trying to control but Sandahl is working from the bottom.
Despite being in the dominant position, David Parker just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Parker looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Sandahl! Parker looking to control but Sandahl is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Parker fails to take his opponent's back. Sandahl tries to get back to half guard but can't. Sandahl is squirming around, avoiding Parker's attempts to control the action. Parker has hold of Sandahl's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Sandahl manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Sandahl knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Parker on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Parker trying to control but Sandahl is having none of it. Sandahl is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Parker takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Sandahl can't escape the position.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Parker's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Sandahl is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Sandahl tries to escape but Parker has the hooks in and won't let him break free. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Parker dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Parker checks a leg kick. Sandahl throws a leg kick but Parker sees it coming and moves out of range. Sandahl throws a shot from downtown. Parker moves away and avoids it. Sandahl connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Parker momentarily.
Parker checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Parker scores a takedown into full mount! Parker looking to control and managing it successfully. Sandahl has given up his back.
Sandahl rolls, trying to escape but Parker keeps control of the position.
What can Sandahl do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Sandahl won't enjoy being in this position. Parker looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Sandahl is tapping - it's over boys! Parker picks up the submission victory!
