Arlovski's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Slayer - Hell Awaits. Vedhult is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The skatt bros - Life at the outpost. Kenneth Vedhult has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Arlovski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kenneth Vedhult!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Illya Tyunina and Fedor Mirinova.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vedhult closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Arlovski to the mat! Arlovski manages to get full guard.
Arlovski looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Vedhult stays in close to Arlovski's body and controls the position.
Vedhult trying to control but Arlovski is working from the bottom.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Vedhult slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Arlovski moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Arlovski throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Vedhult fails to land the takedown.
Arlovski with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Vedhult to score with a decent uppercut.
Arlovski defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Vedhult.
Arlovski throws a right hand that Vedhult ducks under and follows up with a left that Vedhult also avoids with ease.
Vedhult tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Vedhult swings for the body but Arlovski moves out of range.
Arlovski throws and low kick but Vedhult moves out of range easily.

Vedhult just misses with a punch to the body.
Vedhult shoots in for a takedown but Arlovski shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Vedhult wants to clinch.
Arlovski lands with a shot to the body.
Arlovski avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
No joy there for Vedhult, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Arlovski dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Vedhult is breathing heavily.
Arlovski swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Ivan Arlovski is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Vedhult takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.


It looks like Kenneth Vedhult has been cut.
Vedhult blocks the body kick.
Vedhult shoots for a takedown but Arlovski saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

The fighters circling - Arlovski throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Vedhult misses with a hook from the clinch.
Arlovski tries to break free but Vedhult pushes him back against the ropes.
Arlovski misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Vedhult.
Arlovski lands with a light punch inside.
Arlovski looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Arlovski wants to get back to striking at distance but Vedhult won't allow it.

Arlovski pushes Vedhult back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Arlovski tries a knee to the head but Vedhult blocks it.

Arlovski's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Vedhult misses the shot to the body.
Vedhult slips under a jab.
Arlovski throws a head kick but Vedhult moves out of range.
Arlovski catches Vedhult napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Vedhult to the canvas!


Vedhult is rocked!

Arlovski stands up and waves to Vedhult to follow him.
Vedhult is still on wobbly legs! Can Arlovski finish him?
A big right followed by a crushing left from Arlovski knocks Vedhult out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ivan Arlovski!
