Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Heiji Endo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Urias (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Urias has chosen Here comes the BOOM as his entrance music. Miguel Urias told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Heiji Endo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Miguel Urias! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Urias with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Miguel Urias seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fight moves into the clinch position. Urias tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Endo avoids it. Endo has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Urias with an attempt at a knee that misses.
A shot in the inside from Urias. Urias looks to throw an elbow but misses. Urias misses with a punch to the body.
The referee calls for Urias to work.
Endo blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Urias is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Endo pulls guard. Urias pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Endo is keeping the position for now. Endo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. Urias got a little sloppy there for a moment and Endo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Urias has managed to get both his arms back between Endo's legs - danger averted. Urias must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Urias passes easily into side control. Nice work. Endo regains half guard. Endo is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Urias jumps into side control! Urias stands up and we're back to a striking position. Urias throws a nice inside leg kick.

Horrible takedown by Endo or perhaps it was just good defense by Urias which made him look bad. Endo tries to keep at a distance but Urias has taken the fight into the clinch. Urias lands a knee to the body.
Endo has Urias pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Urias manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Endo is breathing heavily. Urias lands a body punch in the clinch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Urias landing some nice looking knees to the body.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Urias lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Urias throws a front kick that sends Endo stumbling back into the cage. Urias is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Urias moves into the clinch. Endo blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Urias pulls Endo into guard.
Urias is looking for a triangle but Endo pushes his legs off easily.
Endo drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Endo jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Urias is trying to control the position but Endo postures up. Endo advances position into side control! Endo trying to control the position but Urias is working away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Miguel Urias dominated that round. The cut man is working on Heiji Endo's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Urias tries to clinch up. Urias tries to clinch but Endo moves out of range. Urias throws a head kick that misses. Urias pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Urias misses with a body kick. Endo avoids the head kick by Urias.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Urias rushes Endo and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Urias lands a knee to the head.

Urias has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Endo uses from the top position. Endo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Urias is keeping the position for now.

Endo trying to control the position from guard on top but Urias is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Endo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Urias keeping moving, preventing Endo from controlling successfully. Urias looking for a guillotine here but Endo defends easily.
Urias has his foot on Endo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Endo works his way back into a safe position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Endo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Urias tries to avoid it but Endo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Urias to the ground. Urias escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Endo keeps the fight on the outside. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Endo is defended easily by Urias. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Heiji Endo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Endo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Endo tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Endo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Urias keeps working. Endo working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Urias regains half guard. Endo works his way into side control. Urias stops Endo from passing to mount. Urias wants to control but Endo postures up. Urias tries to buck Endo off but Endo is having none of it. Endo lands a nice forearm strike. Endo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Urias knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Endo throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Urias works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Urias throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Urias trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Endo drops back looking for a leg! Urias is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Urias manages to kick Endo off! Endo jumps back into Urias's guard. Urias is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Endo is aware though and is defending well. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Urias has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Endo doesn't defend quickly enough and Urias has managed to lock this one up! Can Endo escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Urias on a fantastic submission victory.
