Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mathias Jansen! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vyacheslav Sentyurin! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sentyurin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jansen. Jansen gets a takedown into half guard. Jansen wants to work for an arm triangle but Sentyurin is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Sentyurin looking for a sweep. Not yet Sentyurin, not yet. Sentyurin pulls Jansen in close to his closed guard and prevents Jansen from doing any damage or advancing position. Jansen drops back looking for a leg! Sentyurin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sentyurin manages to kick Jansen off! Jansen jumps back into Sentyurin's guard. Sentyurin controlling Jansen's posture.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sentyurin not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Sentyurin looking to hit a scissor sweep but Jansen is one step ahead there. Sentyurin is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Sentyurin keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Jansen avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Sentyurin. Jansen is looking to improve his position.
Sentyurin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jansen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jansen looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Jansen actively working from the bottom here. Sentyurin throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Jansen looking for submissions off his back. Jansen is breathing heavily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Jansen looking for submissions off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. A left lands for Sentyurin. Sentyurin bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jansen's head backwards. Mathias Jansen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sentyurin connects with a good right hand that stumbles Jansen. Jansen circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
It looks like Mathias Jansen has been cut. Sentyurin fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jansen, pushing him back against the cage. A body shot lands from Sentyurin.

A shot in the inside from Sentyurin. Sentyurin stops a takedown attempt from Jansen.
Sentyurin lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Jansen backwards. Sentyurin lands a left hand that snaps the head of Jansen backwards.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sentyurin throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Jansens head. Sentyurin drops Jansen onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Jansen is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!
Jansen is rocked! Sentyurin working some nice short punches in the clinch. Oh Jansen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Sentyurin misses with some punches.
A head punch on the inside from Sentyurin fails to land. A short right hand to the side of the head by Sentyurin. Jansen jumps guard but Sentyurin stands there with Jansen around his waist. Jansen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jansen seems to have got his legs back now. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mathias Jansen. That's going to take a lot out of him. A short body shot lands from Sentyurin as the two fighters clinch.
Sentyurin lands with a left to the head. Sentyurin lands with a light punch inside. Sentyurin throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Jansens head. Jansen's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! A quick uppercut on the inside from Sentyurin.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jansen jumps guard but Sentyurin stands there with Jansen around his waist. Jansen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Sentyurin cracks Jansen with a nice body shot. Jansen tries to pull guard but Sentyurin holds him up against the cage and eventually Jansen drops back down to his feet.
Jansen takes a shot to the head. Sentyurin lands with a right to the head. Sentyurin lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Jansen or not. Sentyurin lands with a short shot to the head. Jansen fails to pull guard.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Sentyurin. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sentyurin creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Jansen's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Jansen drops to his knees and Sentyurin pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vyacheslav Sentyurin! Vyacheslav Sentyurin is the new lightweight champion!
