Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peters shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Michaels as he jumps to the side. Michaels drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Michaels tries to free his leg and advance position but Peters is retaining full guard. Peters not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Michaels wants to stand and escape but instead Peters has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Michaels not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Michaels working a defensive guard but Peters passes into half guard.
Peters is looking for a kimura but Michaels is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Peters to get the leverage. Peters wants to pass to mount but Michaels is defending the position. Michaels has a hand on Peters's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Peters takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Peters avoids the attempt from Michaels to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Michaels tries to reverse the position but Peters maintains control. Peters tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Let's hope that Peters has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Peters can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Michaels is looking to escape. Michaels knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Peters on the ground. Peters has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Michaels's face.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peters landing strikes from the mount. A nice elbow there by Peters. Peters looking to secure an arm triangle but Michaels defends it well. Peters is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Michaels has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Michaels! Michaels would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peters lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Michaels! Peters can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Michaels is looking to escape. Peters prevents Michaels from getting the reversal. Michaels is breathing heavily. Peters putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Michaels tries to hold on but Peters pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Michaels is looking to get to half guard. Peters controlling from mount. Peters jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Michaels is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Michaels and Peters has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Peters has knee on belly and moves into mount. Michaels is squirming around, avoiding Peters's attempts to control the action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Peters dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Michaels moves out of range of the body kick. Peters closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Peters lands in his opponent's guard. Peters stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Michaels swivels though and keeps the full guard. Michaels controlling the position. Peters advances position into side control! Peters tries to move to full mount but Michaels actually manages to regain half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Michaels is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Peters trying to control from half guard but Michaels is working away. Peters trying to advance position but Michaels counters by regaining guard. Peters trying to control the position from guard on top but Michaels is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Peters trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Peters drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Peters as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Michaels screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Peters! Nice submission victory there!
