Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between TJ Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nolan Sackett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sackett has chosen Bad To the Bone as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, TJ Fisher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nolan Sackett! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sackett walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Fisher checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Sackett throws a lazy right hand but Fisher sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Sackett tries to score with a low kick but Fisher moves his leg out of the way. Sackett just misses with a punch to the body.
Sackett ducks under a wild hook from Fisher. Fisher throws a jab but it's blocked by Sackett. Nolan Sackett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sackett throws a shot from downtown. Fisher moves away and avoids it. Fisher rushes Sackett and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Sackett wants a takedown but no success here.
Fisher breaks the clinch.
Sackett lands with a straight right. Fisher didn't see that one coming. No joy there for Sackett, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Fisher misses with an uppercut. Sackett takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Fisher bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Sackett's head backwards. Fisher checks a low kick from Sackett.
That's one minute gone in the round. A jab from Fisher finds it's way through Sackett's defenses. Sackett throws a right and a left that both miss. Sackett throws a hook but Fisher blocks it. Sackett misses with a two punch combination.
Sackett throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Sackett fails with the takedown. Sackett missing with a left hand there. Fisher was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Sackett closes the distance looking to clinch letting Fisher counter with a right hand. Fisher changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Fisher misses with a takedown and Sackett counters with a left and a right that stings Fisher.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sackett throws a shot to the body.

TJ Fisher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nolan Sackett. A short right from Fisher on the inside. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Fisher takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Fisher pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Fisher scores with a nice strike. Fisher keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Sackett scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Sackett uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Fisher. Sackett takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sackett avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fisher throws a big shot that misses. Fisher is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Sackett wants to clinch. Sackett walks into a stiff left hand from Fisher. Sackett clinches but Fisher breaks the clinch and Fisher makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Fisher lands a really nice looking cross but Sackett seems unphased.

and Fisher counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Fisher. Sackett can't get the takedown.
Sackett has clasped his hands together around Fisher's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fisher is trying to get back to half guard. Sackett throws an elbow but Fisher slips to the side and avoids it well. Fisher controls the position for a moment. Sackett working the strikes but Fisher uses the opportunity to regain half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Fisher avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Sackett. Fisher pushes Sackett off looking to stand but Sackett dives back in and keeps control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that TJ Fisher will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Sackett shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Fisher connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Sackett throws a big shot that misses. Fisher uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sackett.
Sackett moves in looking to clinch but Fisher pushes him off. Sackett shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Fisher regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Sackett. Sackett postures up in Fisher's guard and throws a big left but Fisher blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fisher wants to sweep here but Sackett controlling him for the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sackett scoring with some ground and pound. Sackett throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Sackett throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Sackett won't allow Fisher to get back to his feet. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Sackett throws and elbow that misses. Fisher uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Sackett's guard. Nice move by Fisher! Sackett is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Fisher content to stall in guard here. Sackett is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Sackett looking for a sweep. Not yet Sackett, not yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sackett controlling Fisher's posture. Fisher has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Sackett wants to sweep but no luck. Sackett has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Sackett bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fisher's guard. Sackett is looking to work some ground and pound but Fisher has wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Sackett with a flurry of punches that miss. Fisher looking for a sweep. Not yet Fisher, not yet. Fisher has control of Sackett's left arm, preventing Sackett from doing any damage. Sackett throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Fisher works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Sackett trying to control but Fisher is working from the bottom. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fisher controls Sackett momentarily but Sackett frees himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Nolan Sackett showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Fisher lands with a left to the head. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Fisher creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Fisher escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

A low kick from Sackett is predictable there and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Sackett gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Fisher moves into the clinch.

Fisher lands a damaging elbow. Fisher lands a hook that snaps the head of Sackett backwards. Fisher prevents the takedown attempt.
TJ Fisher has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nolan Sackett. Fisher breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Fisher clinches. Fisher using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Sackett has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Sackett clinches but Fisher breaks the clinch letting Fisher counter with a right hand. Fisher drops his hands momentarily and Sackett takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Sackett misses with a combination
and Fisher counters by moving into the clinch. Sackett has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Fisher is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Fisher manages to break the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sackett throws a hook but Fisher avoids it easily. Fisher throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Sackett doesn't succeed with the takedown enabling Fisher to counter with a crisp jab. Sackett takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Sackett misses with a takedown and Fisher counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Fisher drives through and clinches with Sackett against the cage.

Fisher escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sackett tries to clinch enabling Fisher to counter with a crisp jab. Fisher scores with a hook to the body. Sackett takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Sackett moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Fisher fails to land with a series of punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fisher connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Sackett misses with a hook. Fisher ducked under it nicely. Fisher connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Sackett's hands. Sackett has his takedown stuffed and Fisher counters with a straight right hand. Sackett tries to bum rush Fisher with a series of wild strikes but Fisher uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Fisher lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Fisher lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

and Sackett counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Fisher bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Sackett's head backwards. Sackett moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Sackett misses with a body shot

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sackett swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Fisher counters with a one-two to the body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sackett misses the body punch and Fisher counters with a left to the body. Fisher bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! TJ Fisher showed his dominance in that final round. I think Fisher has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
