Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Charles Babbage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renato Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gracie has chosen Bring Da Ruckus as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charles Babbage! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Renato Gracie! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie lands a really nice looking cross but Babbage seems unphased.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Babbage but Babbage pushes him off and we're back to square one. Gracie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Babbage tries to avoid it but Gracie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Babbage to the ground. Babbage escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Babbage takes a swing at Gracie's ribcage but misses. Gracie misses with a straight left. A big right from Gracie misses. Gracie walks into a stiff left hand from Babbage. Gracie pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Gracie shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Babbage pinned against the cage. Babbage gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Charles Babbage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Renato Gracie. No joy there for Babbage, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gracie throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Babbage sees it coming and avoids it easily. Gracie fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. A nice inside leg kick there by Babbage. That's going to slow Gracie down. Babbage throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Gracie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Babbage looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gracie is one step ahead there. Babbage is working hard here to advance position. Babbage keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully. Gracie is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Babbage is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Babbage has escaped and now he's on top!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Babbage won't allow Gracie to sweep him here. Babbage is looking to stand up but Gracie won't let him. Babbage wants to pass the guard but Gracie is keeping the position. Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Babbage can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Babbage stacks Gracie on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Babbage! Gracie is looking for a sweep. Gracie regains half guard there - taking advantage of Babbage's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Babbage tries to stand and escape but Gracie is controlling the position. Gracie looking for submissions off his back. Gracie moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Charles Babbage will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Gracie bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Babbage's head. Babbage throws a looping overhand right but Gracie ducks down to avoid it. Babbage fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Gracie looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. A telegraphed right hand from Babbage misses the target. Babbage misses with a low kick. Babbage misses with a straight left. Gracie shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Babbage napping and manages to drive through into side control! Gracie in side control, throwing shots but Babbage defends. Gracie scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Babbage to see if he's OK. Babbage is looking to reverse the position. Gracie working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Babbage is trying to buck Gracie off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Babbage has escaped the position, nice work there. Babbage is looking for a sweep. Gracie lands a decent elbow from side control. Gracie is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Babbage's shoulder. That is not cool. Gracie wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Babbage, who protects the arm well. Babbage manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Gracie wants to get back to full guard. Babbage is trying to control. Gracie wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Gracie looking for submissions off his back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Well, if Babbage is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Gracie misses with a hook. Babbage ducks under a wild hook from Gracie. Gracie slips a jab and a cross from Babbage.
Babbage tries to bum rush Gracie with a series of wild strikes but Gracie uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Gracie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Gracie looking to control but Babbage is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Babbage is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Babbage really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Renato Gracie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Babbage's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Babbage sprawls well. Babbage wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gracie gets slowly back to his feet. Gracie closes the distance and clinches up with Babbage, looking for a takedown. Gracie pushes Babbage against the cage but Babbage circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Babbage throws a series of punches but Gracie avoids them all with ease. Gracie shoots in for a takedown but Babbage shows good takedown defense. Charles Babbage has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Renato Gracie. Gracie throws a series of punches but Babbage moves out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gracie ducks under a wild hook from Babbage. Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown. Babbage tries to sprawl out of it but Gracie keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Babbage manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Babbage looks to land a combination but Gracie avoids it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Babbage as he jumps to the side. Gracie chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Babbage can pounce on him.

Gracie goes for an armbar but Babbage turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Babbage. Gracie takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Gracie working a defensive guard here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Babbage swivels and escapes. A telegraphed right hand from Gracie misses the target. Babbage stuffs the takedown. Babbage displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gracie throws out the jab. Babbage feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Gracie's calf. Babbage throws out a loose jab but Gracie uses good head movement to avoid it. Both fighters circling a little - Babbage finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Gracie misses with a hook. Babbage ducked under it nicely. Gracie fails with a takedown attempt. Renato Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Babbage moves out of range of the strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracie misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Gracie uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Babbage.
Babbage keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Gracie looks to throw the jab but Babbage is out of range. Gracie shoots for a double leg takedown but Babbage sprawls well. He's pushed Gracie's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Gracie takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Gracie misses with a jab, cross combination.
Babbage smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
And that's the end of the fight! Charles Babbage showed his dominance in that final round. I think Babbage has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
