The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thorkildsen misses with a looping left.
M tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Thorkildsen misses the shot to the body.
M fails in his attempt to clinch.
M tries to clinch up.
M closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A looping hook to the body misses from Thorkildsen. M does a little dance to reset his feet.
A telegraphed right hand from Thorkildsen misses the target.
M tries to clinch up but Thorkildsen circles away and keeps his distance.
Thorkildsen takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
M moves in looking to clinch but Thorkildsen pushes him off.
Oooh a lovely combination from Thorkildsen sends M down but not out. Thorkildsen dives into side control looking to finish.
It looks like Big M has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Thorkildsen is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. M is trying to escape and Thorkildsen transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and M is forced to tap! Nice work there by Thorkildsen! Very nice indeed!
