Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elijah Carr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Layzie Assassin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Assassin has chosen Thuggish Ruggish Bone as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Layzie Assassin enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Elijah Carr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Layzie Assassin! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carr lands with a right hand. Carr gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Assassin. Carr moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Carr throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Carr fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Assassin loads up on a big right hand but Carr slips the punch. Carr throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Assassin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A cross from Assassin lands. Assassin misses with the combination.
Assassin blocks a jab. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Assassin is defended easily by Carr. Assassin falls off balance throwing a combination
and Carr counters with a big head kick but Assassin shrugs it off. Assassin darts in trying to clinch and Carr counters with a big head kick but Assassin shrugs it off. Assassin ducks under a wild hook from Carr.
That's one minute gone in the round. Assassin gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Carr to score an easy takedown into full guard. Assassin looking for a guillotine here but Carr defends easily.
Carr won't allow Assassin to sweep him here. Carr trying to control the position from guard on top but Assassin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Assassin has a closed guard, preventing Carr from standing up. Assassin trying to keep a closed guard but Carr is proving a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carr pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Assassin is keeping the position for now. Assassin has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Carr has passed into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Assassin is looking for a sweep.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Assassin lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Assassin tries to clinch but Carr moves away and Carr counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Assassin works his way to full guard. Good work. Assassin trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Carr gets to his feet - Assassin follows without any prompting. Assassin showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Carr.
Assassin wants to clinch but Carr slips to the side and Carr decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Assassin's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Carr trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Assassin working a defensive guard here.
Assassin is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Carr defends well. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Assassin looking for a sweep. Not yet Assassin, not yet. Assassin trying to keep a closed guard but Carr is proving a slippery customer.
Assassin has his foot on Carr's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Carr works his way back into a safe position though. Assassin keeping moving, preventing Carr from controlling successfully. Carr thows a big elbow that misses. Assassin trying to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Carr trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Carr wants to get up but he can't break Assassin's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Carr gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Assassin thows a body shot but no joy. Assassin lands with a shot to the body. Carr tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Assassin is able to avoid easily. Assassin swings for the body but Carr moves out of range.
Carr's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Carr duly obliges. Carr takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Carr gets a takedown into half guard. Assassin tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Elijah Carr dominated that round. That's time! Carr's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Carr scores with a spinning back kick! Carr throws a right and a left that Assassin avoids nicely. Assassin misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Carr.
Assassin ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Assassin looks to score with a jab to the body but Carr is just out of range. Carr throws a leg kick that misses. Carr misses with a double jab.
Carr closes the distance and clinches. Carr decides to pull guard. Carr utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Assassin is looking to advance position but Carr has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Assassin looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Carr trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Assassin trying to control but not successfully. Assassin breaks Carr's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Assassin loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Carr keeping full guard, as Assassin tries to pass. Assassin trying to control the position from guard on top but Carr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Assassin throwing strikes from guard but Carr blocks nicely.

Assassin has instead reached around Carr's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Assassin arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
