The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva misses with a two punch combination.
Silva jabs at Swagger's body.
Silva throws a jab when Swagger was well out of range.
A slow jab from Silva misses its intended target.
Silva fails to land with a series of punches.
Silva throws a hook to the side of Swagger's head but Swagger sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Silva looks to land a left hand but Swagger moved out of range nicely.
Swagger tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Swagger counters with a three punch combo that has Silva backing up. Silva nods at Swagger to acknowledge the strikes.
Silva throws a right and a left that Swagger avoids nicely.
Swagger slips a jab and a cross from Silva.

Swagger throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silva.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Swagger throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Swagger throws a leg kick but Silva sees it coming and moves out of range.
Silva stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Swagger.
Swagger throws a series of punches but Silva moves out of range.

Swagger will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Silva thows a body shot but no joy.

and Swagger counters with an inside leg kick.
Swagger moves out of range of the strikes.
Silva looks to throw the jab but Swagger is out of range.
Earl Lee Swagger is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Silva tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Swagger was well out of range. Poor timing from Silva.

Swagger scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Lyoto Silva has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Swagger lands a big right hand that sends Silva crashing to the mat! Swagger stays standing though and waves Silva back to his feet!
Silva is rocked!

Silva just misses with a punch to the body.
Silva takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Silva on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Swagger. Swagger obviously looking to wear him down.
Swagger lands a left and a right that send Silva crashing to the mat, dazed. Swagger thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Silva is still on wobbly legs! Can Swagger finish him?
Swagger lands a nice shot that snaps Silva's head back.
Silva drops his hands momentarily and Swagger takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Swagger connects with a stiff jab that staggers Silva - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
