Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maximilian Percello (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Mendes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mendes shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Percello defends it nicely.

Percello tries to bum rush Mendes with a series of wild strikes but Mendes uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Mendes postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Percello has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mendes can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Mendes bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Percello's guard.
Percello wants to stand and escape but Mendes is having none of it.

Percello looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Mendes walks into a straight right hand from Percello.

Mendes lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Percello misses with a few strikes there.
Percello swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Percello is looking to advance position but Mendes won't allow it.
Percello uses his free foot to push down on Mendes's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mendes.

Mendes is trying to escape the mount.
Percello lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
BOOM! Percello connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Mendes is working to get back to half guard.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Percello! Mendes is hurt baaadly! Percello is firing away with more strikes - Mendes is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
