Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Guillermo Gomez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Kronic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jack Kronic struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Gomez as Kronic shoots in.
Gomez wants to clinch.
Gomez scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Kronic is looking for a sweep.
Kronic is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Kronic makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kronic.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kronic wants to sweep but no luck.

Kronic has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Gomez is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Kronic.
