Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dace Killian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paulo Fontana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fontana is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Pass The Dutchie. Paulo Fontana is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fontana ducks under a wild hook from Killian.
Killian keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Killian throws a body punch but Fontana moves out of range.
Killian has Fontana up against the cage in a clinch.
Fontana tries to circle away but Killian has him pinned against the cage.
Fontana has clasped his hands together around Killian's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Fontana jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Killian is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Killian and Fontana has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Killian is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Killian tries to roll over but Fontana keeps him under control.
Fontana looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Fontana tries to stand and escape but Killian is controlling the position.
Killian keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
Fontana is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Killian doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Fontana.
Fontana has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Fontana shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Killian but Killian pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Killian pushes Fontana off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Fontana tries to score a body lock takedown but Killian shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Killian's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dace Killian will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Killian changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Fontana tries to clinch but Killian moves away
and Killian counters with a three punch combo that has Fontana backing up. Fontana nods at Killian to acknowledge the strikes.
Fontana shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Killian's guard.
Killian is controlling Fontana's posture.
Fontana drops back, looking for a kneebar! Killian looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Killian looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Killian!

Fontana takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Killian connects with a nice looking jab.
Killian throws a hook but Fontana blocks it.
Killian throws a series of strikes that have Fontana backpedaling.
It looks like Paulo Fontana has been cut.
Dace Killian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Killian lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Killian misses with an attempted mid kick.

and Killian counters with a nice uppercut.
Killian tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Fontana paws at him with a jab and circles away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dace Killian showed his dominance in that final round.
