Paiva is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by AC DC: Thuderstruck . Raphael Paiva acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paiva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cole paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Paiva tries to clinch there but Cole circles away.

Paiva tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Paiva tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cole swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Cole keeps the fight on the outside.
Paiva shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cole pinned against the cage. Cole gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Paiva doesn't manage to clinch there - Cole circles away.
Cole avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Paiva shoots in looking for a takedown. Cole tries to sprawl out of it but Paiva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Cole manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Cole changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Raphael Paiva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cole comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Paiva fails in his attempt to clinch.
Cole cracks Paiva with a good jab.

The fight stays on the outside here - Paiva looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Paiva drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Paiva tries to clinch but Cole is having none of it.
Cole throws a chopping leg kick but Paiva manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Paiva is looking to clinch but Cole is avoiding it.
Paiva dives in and grabs Cole's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cole pushes down on Paiva's head and hops out.
Paiva fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cole avoids it really well and circles away.
Cole uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Paiva has time to react.
Cole throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cole connects with a looping right hand.
Cole is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Cole digs a good body shot into Paiva's ribs.
Cole works the jab nicely.
Cole lands a jab to the head.
A shot to de liver by Cole. Beautiful body shot.
Cole lands a glancing blow to the side of Paiva's head.
Cole lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

A left lands for Cole.
Cole cracks a nice hook into Paiva's ribs.
Cole sizes up Paiva with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Cole avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Paiva wants to clinch up but Cole keeps it at a distance.
Paiva misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Cole lands with a good body shot.
Cole fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Cole dips to his left and cracks Paiva with an uppercut!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Paiva walks into a stiff left hand from Cole.

Cole lands with a nice body punch.
Paiva is still on wobbly legs! Can Cole finish him?
Cole fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Paiva square on the jaw! Damn, Paiva is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
