Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cass Pennant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Garrett Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pennant comes to the cage accompanied by I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Day throws out a loose jab but Pennant uses good head movement to avoid it.

Pennant keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Day.
Pennant misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Day tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pennant sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Day somewhat.
Day swinging wildly here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Day lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pennant circles away quickly and effectively.
Pennant with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Pennant feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Day's calf.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cass Pennant has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Garrett Day.

Pennant breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Pennant lands a big head kick that sends Day tumbling to the mat! Pennant takes a step backwards and waves Day back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Day is rocked!
Pennant throws a quick head kick that knocks Day silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Pennant is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.
