7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Elijah Carr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tony Vasquez! The judges for this bout are , and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carr closes this distance looking for a takedown but Vasquez circles away. Vasquez staying out of range there. Vasquez throws a right and a left that both miss. Vasquez displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Carr. Vasquez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Vasquez misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Vasquez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Carr throws a right and a left that Vasquez avoids nicely. Carr tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vasquez misses with a series of wild punches.

Vasquez leaves Carr with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Elijah Carr. That's going to take a lot out of him. Vasquez slips a jab and a cross from Carr.
Carr throws a series of strikes that have Vasquez backpedaling.

and Carr counters with an inside leg kick. Carr throws a head kick but Vasquez moves out of range.
Carr throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

No joy there for Carr, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Carr fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Vasquez, pushing him back against the cage. Carr lands a right hand that snaps the head of Vasquez backwards. A shot in the inside from Carr. Carr escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Carr throws a one two combo.
Vasquez tries to clinch but Carr moves away and Carr counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Vasquez's guard now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carr decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Carr shoots in and drives through. Vasquez sprawls well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A combination from Carr does no damage. Vasquez throws a series of punches but Carr avoids them all with ease. Carr defending well as Vasquez loads up on a big left hand. Elijah Carr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vasquez misses with a double jab.
Vasquez throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Carr cracks Vasquez with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Vasquez throws a left and a right that both miss

and Carr counters with a good, hard body kick but Vasquez shrugs it off. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Carr scores with a head kick.

Carr connects with a solid leg kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Elijah Carr dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Vasquez looks to score with a jab to the body but Carr is just out of range. Carr shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Vasquez but Vasquez pushes him off and we're back to square one. Carr shoots for a takedown but Vasquez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Vasquez takes the fight into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carr landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Vasquez is breathing heavily. Carr pulls guard successfully.
Vasquez trying to control but Carr is working from the bottom. Carr working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vasquez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vasquez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carr is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Vasquez is aware though and is defending well. Carr bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Vasquez's guard. Carr decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Vasquez misses with a wild body shot. Vasquez closes the distance and lands a one-two. Vasquez stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Carr. Elijah Carr is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Carr throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Vasquez counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Vasquez misses with a double jab
and Carr moves into the clinch. Carr breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Vasquez doesn't manage to clinch there - Carr circles away.
Carr tries to close the distance and clinch but Vasquez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Carr shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Carr works a leg free and moves into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Vasquez looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carr decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Vasquez fails to land with a series of punches.

Carr lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Vasquez connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Carr keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Vasquez. Carr takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Vasquez fails to land with a series of punches.
Carr moves in looking to clinch but Vasquez pushes him off. Carr tries a head kick but it misses.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Carr scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Vasquez scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Carr tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Elijah Carr dominated that second round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!
Vasquez throws a hook but Carr avoids it easily. Elijah Carr is winning the standup battle so far. Vasquez misses with a double jab.

Vasquez cracks Carr with a right hand to the side of the head. Carr closes the distance and clinches up with Vasquez, looking for a takedown. Carr pushes Vasquez against the cage but Vasquez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Carr feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Vasquez's calf. Vasquez connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Carr momentarily.
Carr throws a body punch but Vasquez moves out of range. A punch combination from Carr misses. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. No joy there for Vasquez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Carr misses with a double jab
and Vasquez counters with a three punch combo that has Carr backing up. Carr nods at Vasquez to acknowledge the strikes. Carr will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Carr defending well as Vasquez loads up on a big left hand. Carr closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. A short right hand to the side of the head by Carr. Carr trying to control the position but instead, Vasquez has worked for underhooks and has pushed Carr into the cage. A short right from Carr on the inside. Vasquez tries to circle away but Carr has him pinned against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carr works on Vasquez's body with a couple of short punches. Carr escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Vasquez fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Carr on the side of the head. A head kick by Vasquez misses and Carr counters with an outside leg kick.

Carr shoots in but no luck this time. Vasquez misses with a two punch combination.
Vasquez comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Carr shoots in looking for a takedown. Vasquez tries to sprawl out of it but Carr keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Vasquez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Vasquez misses with a two punch combination.
And that's the end of the fight! Tony Vasquez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Carr has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
