The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karelin fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Karelin shoots in for a double leg but Tonying sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Aleksandr Karelin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tonying cracks Karelin with an open hand slap.
Tonying with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Karelin loads up on a big right hand but Tonying slips the punch.
Tonying showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Karelin.
Karelin throws a hook to the side of Tonying's head but Tonying sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Tonying moves into the clinch.
Karelin misses with a hook to the ribs.
Tonying pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Karelin misses with a shot to the body
and Tonying counters with a left to the body.
Karelin looks gassed!
Tonying listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Karelin misses with a double jab
and Karelin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Tonying ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Tonying swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Tonying lands with a nice combination. Karelin backs away looking to recover.

Tonying throws a nice looking combination but Karelin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tonying misses with a two punch combination.
Tonying's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Tonying duly obliges.
Tonying fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Tonying lands a left and a right that send Karelin crashing to the mat, dazed. Tonying thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Karelin is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tonying moves into the clinch.
Karelin misses with a punch on the inside.
Karelin struggles to land a body shot inside as Tonying controls his hands.
Tonying lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Tonying's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Tonying lands with a nice body punch.
Karelin on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Tonying lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Tonying lands with a shot to the body.
Tonying drops Karelin with a beautiful combination! Karelin stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Tonying is looking for the KO!
Karelin is still on wobbly legs! Can Tonying finish him?
Tonying throws an overhand right that has Karelin reeling! Tonying follows up with more punches and Karelin is out cold! This one is all over!
