Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Strife (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio da Costa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). da Costa has chosen Da Boondocks as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. John Strife could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Antonio da Costa's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by da Costa.
Strife tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but da Costa was well out of range. Poor timing from Strife.
da Costa feints and then cracks Strife's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Strife down.
da Costa throws a chopping leg kick but Strife manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
da Costa throws a head kick but Strife moves out of range.
A low kick from Strife is predictable there
and da Costa counters with a nice low kick that buckles Strife's knee momentarily.
Strife throws a leg kick but da Costa sees it coming and moves out of range.
Strife shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
da Costa buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
da Costa throws a body kick that misses.
da Costa lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
da Costa throws a push kick but Strife slaps the foot to one side.

Good leg kick by da Costa there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Look low, kick high! da Costa uses the oldest trick in the book to send Strife tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! da Costa is absolutely delighted - when Strife wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
