Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Robot Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Obi Uzoma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Obi Uzoma was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Obi Uzoma! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Joe slips a jab from Uzoma. A slow jab from Uzoma misses its intended target. Joe ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Uzoma moves away. Joe looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Joe keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Uzoma. Uzoma looks to land a left hand but Joe moved out of range nicely. Joe shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Uzoma napping and manages to drive through into side control! Joe tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Joe has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Joe is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Uzoma's shoulder. That is not cool. Uzoma is not content to let Joe control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Joe wants to take a breather but Uzoma manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Joe. Joe is looking to work some ground and pound but Uzoma has wrist control. Joe trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Joe prevents Uzoma from getting back to his feet. Joe throws a big right hand that misses. Joe looking to sit in guard and control but Uzoma gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Uzoma has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Joe is proving hard to escape from.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Uzoma gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Joe to score an easy takedown into full guard. Joe throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Joe thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Joe wants to control from the top but Uzoma keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Joe in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Joe wants to control from the top but Uzoma keeps moving. Joe postures up in Uzoma's guard and throws a big left but Uzoma blocks it. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Joe shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Joe is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Uzoma defends it well. Uzoma wants to get back to his feet.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Joe is working for a submission of some sort.

Uzoma blocks a head kick by Joe.
Uzoma missing with a left hand there. Joe was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Uzoma misses with a few strikes there.
Uzoma misses the jab. A telegraphed right hand from Uzoma misses the target. Joe moves out of range of the strikes. Uzoma misses with a jab, cross combination.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Joe throws a nice outside leg kick. Uzoma throws a big shot that misses. Joe shoots in but Uzoma avoids the takedown attempt easily. Joe steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Uzoma.
That's one minute gone in the round. Uzoma lands a left and a right that sends Joe crashing to the canvas! Uzoma dives into mount looking to finish!
It looks like Robot Joe has been cut. Joe is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Joe regains half guard. Uzoma tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Joe looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Joe regains full guard. Nicely done.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Joe is controlling Uzoma's posture. Joe looking to control.
Joe is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Joe looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Joe throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Uzoma escapes and throws Joe's legs to the side, diving into side control! Joe is looking to regain half guard here but Uzoma keeps moving and retains side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Uzoma tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Joe tries to buck Uzoma off but Uzoma is having none of it. Joe is trying to control Uzoma's posture but Uzoma avoids it.

Obi Uzoma showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Robot Joe's cut. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Uzoma throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Joe keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Obi Uzoma seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Joe bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Uzoma looks to land a combination but Joe avoids it well. Uzoma closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Joe is trying to improve his position. Joe is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Uzoma off and has taken his back! Joe is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Uzoma knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Uzoma for a finish. Uzoma manages to escape to a better position under a series of strikes. Joe is now in side control. Uzoma takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Joe tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Joe has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Joe trying to control the position but Uzoma is working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Uzoma throws Joe to one side and escapes! Uzoma swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Joe dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Uzoma. That did some damage! Joe moves away from the strike by Uzoma.

The fighters roll with the hold and Uzoma manages to kick Joe off! Joe jumps back into Uzoma's guard. Joe is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Joe pushes down on Uzoma's leg and manages to get into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Robot Joe. I think Joe has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
