Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Maia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lynch has chosen Troublesome '96 -- Tupac as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daniel Maia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Peter Lynch! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lynch uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Maia. Lynch stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lynch wants it to stay on the feet. Maia takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

A looping hook to the body misses from Maia. Lynch does a little dance to reset his feet. Lynch throws a half hearted mid kick. Maia misses the shot to the body. Maia punishes Lynch's body with a nice straight punch. Maia fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lynch avoids it really well and circles away. and Lynch counters with a big head kick but Maia shrugs it off. Lynch throws a push kick but Maia slaps the foot to one side. Lynch lands with an uppercut that bounces Maia off the cage and back into rage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A nice combination there by Lynch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Peter Lynch dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Maia fails with the takedown. An inside leg kick from Maia misses. Lynch stuffs the takedown attempt from Maia. Maia gets slowly back to his feet. Maia closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Maia lands in his opponent's guard. Maia passes Lynch's left leg - he's now in half guard. Maia is looking to stall here but Lynch recovers full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maia trying to control the position from guard on top but Lynch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Maia trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lynch pushes Maia off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Maia dives in and grabs Lynch's left leg, looking for a takedown. Lynch pushes down on Maia's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Maia. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Maia shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Lynch connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Maia checks a low kick from Lynch. A swing and a miss from Maia. Lynch lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Lynch lands with a hook. Maia tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Maia avoids the head kick by Lynch.

Maia ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lynch moves away. Lynch lands a head kick. Maia smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Lynch has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Maia misses with a body shot.
Maia shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lynch sprawls well. Lynch wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Maia gets slowly back to his feet. Lynch lands with a slapping head kick. Maia tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lynch sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Maia somewhat. Lynch bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Daniel Maia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lynch leaves Maia with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Maia fails with the takedown and Lynch counters with a big head kick but Maia shrugs it off. Maia swings for the body but Lynch moves out of range.
Maia tries for a takedown but Lynch sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Lynch throws a half hearted mid kick. Lynch tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Maia waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lynch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Peter Lynch showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Maia doesn't succeed with the takedown and Lynch counters with a right hand to the body. Maia is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lynch sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel Maia. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lynch lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. A chopping leg kick lands by Lynch. Good leg kick by Lynch there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Horrible takedown by Maia or perhaps it was just good defense by Lynch which made him look bad. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Lynch. Maia ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lynch moves away. Daniel Maia has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Maia is looking to wear down Lynch with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Lynch plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Lynch tries to land a leg kick but Maia saw it coming and moves away.
