Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Seth Vandrel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quentin Cane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vandrel comes to the cage accompanied by Tarantula - Pendulum. Cane has chosen Alice In Chains - Man In The Box as his entrance music. Seth Vandrel could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Quentin Cane's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Cane as Vandrel shoots in. Vandrel lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cane circles away quickly and effectively. Cane misses with a looping left. Vandrel tries to clinch up but Cane circles away and keeps his distance. Cane misses with a looping right. Vandrel fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cane avoids it really well and circles away. Cane throws a looping overhand right but Vandrel ducks down to avoid it. Vandrel throws a leg kick which misses Cane's front leg but catches the back leg as Cane tries to avoid it. Vandrel throws out a loose jab but Cane uses good head movement to avoid it. Cane checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vandrel ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. A combination from Vandrel does no damage. Cane throws a hook but Vandrel blocks it. Vandrel scores with a hook to the body. Cane takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Cane on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Vandrel. Vandrel obviously looking to wear him down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cane bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Vandrel thows a body shot but no joy. Vandrel with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Cane to score with a decent uppercut.
It looks like Seth Vandrel has been cut. Cane throws a hook but Vandrel blocks it. A big right from Cane misses. Cane lands a jab to the nose.
Vandrel is rocked! Seth Vandrel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cane takes a jab right on the kisser.
Oh Vandrel is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Vandrel slips a jab from Cane. Vandrel seems to have got his legs back now. Cane is trying hard to land a takedown here. Vandrel sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Cane takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Vandrel tries a head kick but it misses.
Cane misses with a straight right. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Vandrel, right into the meat.
Cane missing with a left hand there. Vandrel was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cane keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Vandrel uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Cane. Cane slips a jab from Vandrel. A punch lands to the side of Cane 's head but he takes it in his stride. Vandrel fails to land the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Seth Vandrel. That's going to take a lot out of him. Vandrel swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Vandrel slips a straight right by Cane. Cane throws a hook but Vandrel avoids it easily. Cane defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Vandrel. Cane misses with a hook. Cane just misses with a punch to the body.
Cane loads up on a big right hand but Vandrel slips the punch. Vandrel misses with a straight right.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cane moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Vandrel shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Vandrel was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Cane wants to hold on but Vandrel pushes him away. Cane is in all sorts of trouble here.
Cane is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Cane wants to control but Vandrel is having none of it. Cane in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Vandrel looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vandrel thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Vandrel sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Cane is squirming around, avoiding Vandrel's attempts to control the action. Cane is trying desperately to improve position. Vandrel will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Vandrel throws a wild left hand from mount and Cane manages to wriggle his way back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Seth Vandrel will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Seth Vandrel's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A big left from Cane misses. Cane connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Vandrel momentarily.
A slow jab from Cane misses its intended target. Quentin Cane seems to be getting the better of the standup. Vandrel lands a nice looking body shot.
Cane takes a swing at Vandrel's ribcage but misses. Cane avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Vandrel bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Cane's head backwards. Cane throws a jab when Vandrel was well out of range. Nice straight punches there by Cane. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Cane. Cane might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Vandrel shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Vandrel tries to pass to full mount but Cane defends it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vandrel is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Vandrel sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Cane defending well though. Vandrel is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cane is just riding it out for now. Vandrel eventually gives up the hold. Cane trying to hold on to Vandrel's head to control him but Vandrel postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Cane is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Vandrel is staying active. Vandrel is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Cane sees it coming and defends easily. Vandrel not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Vandrel uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Cane. Vandrel bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Cane throws a body punch but Vandrel moves out of range. Cane misses with an uppercut. Vandrel keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Cane takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Cane is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vandrel is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Vandrel connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Vandrel uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Cane. Cane is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Vandrel dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Vandrel lands a nice shot to the body.
Vandrel tests Cane's chin there with a solid looking shot. Vandrel digs a good hook to Cane's body.
Vandrel throws a nice inside leg kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Vandrel works over Cane's head and body with a nice combination. Vandrel lands a right hook to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cane takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Vandrel jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Cane is rocked! Vandrel is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Cane throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Vandrel sees it coming and avoids it easily. Vandrel throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Vandrel scores with a leg kick.
Cane takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Cane is still on wobbly legs! Can Vandrel finish him? A shot to the body from Cane misses and Vandrel counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Vandrel drops back looking for a leg! Cane is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cane manages to kick Vandrel off! Vandrel jumps back into Cane's guard. Vandrel stays in close to Cane's body and controls the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Seth Vandrel dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Seth Vandrel's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!
Cane swings away with a body shot that misses
and Vandrel counters with a nice low kick that buckles Cane's knee momentarily. Cane seems to have recovered his senses. Vandrel is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Vandrel misses with a straight right. Cane on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Vandrel. Vandrel obviously looking to wear him down.
Vandrel lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Vandrel scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Vandrel, as that shot connected.
Vandrel slips under a jab. Vandrel gets in close and instigates a clinch. Vandrel stops a takedown attempt from Cane.
Vandrel digs a right hand underneath Cane's ribcage. Cane let out a lung full of air as it connected. Cane taking a breather. Cane has a couple of punches blocked by Vandrel.
Vandrel lands a nice knee to the body. Cane takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vandrel putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Cane in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Cane takes a knee to the side of the body. Cane is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Cane takes a knee right on the jaw!
Vandrel lands on the inside with an uppercut. Cane trying to control the position but instead, Vandrel has worked for underhooks and has pushed Cane into the cage. Vandrel scores with a shoulder strike. Cane has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Cane tries to break the clinch but Vandrel is controlling the position. Vandrel lands a right hand. Vandrel blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Vandrel keeps control of Cane as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. A shot in the inside from Vandrel.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cane throws a punch but it's blocked by Vandrel. Vandrel throws a knee to the head but misses.
Nice body punch from Vandrel - that landed with a thud.
A shot in the inside from Vandrel. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Vandrel lands a knee to the body.
Vandrel is leaning against Cane and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Vandrel lands a body punch in the clinch. The referee calls for Vandrel to work.
Vandrel jerks Cane's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Cane drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Vandrel goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Vandrel because Cane was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.
