Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Rhakesh Alhazred (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shin Nara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rhakesh Alhazred! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shin Nara! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alhazred throws a looping overhand right but Nara ducks down to avoid it. A low kick from Alhazred misses and Nara counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Rhakesh Alhazred has been cut. A swing and a miss from Alhazred. Nara shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Alhazred as he avoids it easily. Alhazred throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Alhazred throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Alhazred misses with a left hand and Nara counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Nara is trying to control the action in half guard but Alhazred is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Nara is looking to advance position but Alhazred won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nara controlling the action here. Nara wants to free his trapped foot but Alhazred is holding on for dear life with his legs. Nara is trying to control. Alhazred wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alhazred wants to get back to full guard. Alhazred on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Alhazred tries to get out of the position. Nara tries to pass the half guard into mount. Alhazred knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Alhazred trying to hold on to Nara's head to control him but Nara postures up.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Alhazred throws a body kick that misses. Alhazred throws a leg kick that is checked and Nara counters with a nice double leg into guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alhazred keeping full guard, as Nara tries to pass. Nara drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Nara seems to have locked his on tight now - Alhazred screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Nara, as he picks up the win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Shin Nara!
