Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kris Smyth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rich Corleone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smyth comes into the arena with Painkiller - Pendulum feat. Freestylers blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Corleone's choice of entrance music: Four Year Strong - Find My Way Back. This should be fireworks!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rich Corleone!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smyth misses with an uppercut
and Corleone counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Smyth is not content to let Corleone control the position.
Corleone wants to free his trapped foot but Smyth is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Smyth tries to roll over but Corleone keeps him under control.
Corleone stops Smyth from getting back to his feet.
Corleone is thwarting Smyth's attempts to control the position.
Corleone sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Smyth defending well though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

and Corleone counters with a straight right hand.

Smyth tries to close the distance and clinch up but Corleone swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Corleone misses with a hook. Smyth ducked under it nicely.

and Corleone makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Corleone will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Corleone counters with a left and a right that stings Smyth.
Corleone throws a shot from downtown. Smyth moves away and avoids it.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

and Corleone cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Nice uppercut lands for Smyth. That snapped Corleone's head back.

and Corleone counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Smyth!
Smyth is squirming around, avoiding Corleone's attempts to control the action.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
