Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sam Alito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Straus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Straus is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by THE JOKER. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sam Alito!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Straus!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Kavanagh and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Straus blocks the body kick.
Alito misses with a leg kick
and Straus counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Straus misses with a low kick.
Straus takes a swing at Alito's ribcage but misses.
Straus connects with an inside leg kick.
Alito throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Alito moves into the clinch.
Straus throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Straus blocks an uppercut.

Straus pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Alito feints a jab promting Straus to slip. Alito then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Straus slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Alito throws a leg kick
enabling Straus to counter with a crisp jab.
A telegraphed right hand from Alito misses the target.
Straus throws a leg kick
and Alito counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Straus is lucky that one didn't land flush.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Alito cracks Straus with a right hand to the side of the head.
Straus thows a body shot but no joy.
Straus lands with a nice body kick.
Alito pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Alito throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Straus looks to land a body kick but Alito moved away.

Straus throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
That kick from Straus tenderised Alito's leg. Alito is trying to keep his angry face on.
Alito jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Straus scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Some bone on bone action there as Alito checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Alito lands an overhand right.
Straus throws an overhand right that lands on Alito's shoulder, as Alito tries to avoid the shot.
Straus misses with a head kick.

A head kick misses from Straus.
Straus dips to his left and cracks Alito with an uppercut!
Straus pivots, looking for a leg kick but Alito is out of range and Straus settles back down.
Straus misses with a right hand
and Alito counters with a nice low kick that buckles Straus's knee momentarily.
Straus tries to close the distance and clinch up but Alito swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Alito wants to clinch up but Straus keeps it at a distance.
Straus has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Alito finds it's way round the side to connect with Straus's head.
Straus takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Straus misses with the body kick
and Alito counters with a leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Alito connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Straus lands with an uppercut that bounces Alito off the cage and back into rage.
Straus throws a solid leg kick but Alito takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Straus.
Alito misses with a lunging right hand
and Straus counters with an inside leg kick.
Straus throws a left and a right that both miss
and Alito counters with a thumping low kick.
Alito works the jab nicely.
Good standup being displayed there by Alito as he connects with a hook.
Straus fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Alito.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Straus throws a body kick the misses
and Alito counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Straus looks gassed!
Alito throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.


It looks like Jack Straus has been cut.
Alito takes a swing at Straus's ribcage but misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Sam Alito will probably get the nod.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Alito here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

and Straus counters with a nice body shot.
Jack Straus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Straus keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

and Alito makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Alito lands a head kick. Straus smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Alito throws a sloppy head kick and Straus moves out of range easily.

and Alito counters with a nice uppercut.
Straus throws the kick towards the body but Alito avoids it.
Straus displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Alito throws out the jab.

and Alito makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Straus throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Alito has closed the distance and engaged Straus in a clinch.
Straus is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Straus struggles to land a body shot inside as Alito controls his hands.
Alito tries to stall but Straus uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

A looping hook to the body misses from Alito. Straus does a little dance to reset his feet.
Alito lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Alito tries to close the distance and clinch up but Straus swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Straus misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Straus throws an overhand right that lands on Alito's shoulder, as Alito tries to avoid the shot.

Straus tries to land a front kick but Alito steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Straus takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Alito throws a right and a left that Straus avoids nicely.
Alito throws a low kick but it's checked well by Straus.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Alito connects with a good right hand that stumbles Straus. Straus circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
