Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jafar Agrabah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Slaughter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slaughter has chosen The Crown - World Below as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
28 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jafar Agrabah! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Christian Slaughter! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A nice inside leg kick there by Agrabah. That's going to slow Slaughter down. Slaughter walks into a jab. Slaughter tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. No luck with that takedown attempt from Slaughter. Slaughter throws an off balance right hand
and Agrabah counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Slaughter misses with a lunging right hand
and Agrabah counters with a good, hard body kick but Slaughter shrugs it off. Agrabah throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Slaughter counters with a slapping leg kick. Slaughter blocks a head kick by Agrabah.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice shot lands for Agrabah. Agrabah is looking to score with low kicks. Slaughter connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Agrabah momentarily.
Agrabah attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Agrabah throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Agrabah misses with a head kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Slaughter misses with a straight right. Agrabah cracks the inside of Slaughter's front leg. Agrabah throws a leg kick that misses. Slaughter thows a leg kick but Agrabah checks it and Agrabah makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Slaughter shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Slaughter slips under a jab.

and Agrabah counters with a good low kick that Slaughter was not able to check. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Agrabah tries a head kick but it misses.
Agrabah displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Jafar Agrabah seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Slaughter gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Slaughter checks a leg kick nicely.

Slaughter shoots in for a double leg but Agrabah sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Agrabah thows a leg kick but Slaughter checks it and Slaughter counters with a nice body shot. Slaughter avoids the head kick by Agrabah.

Agrabah has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Slaughter is working away from the top position though.

Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Agrabah's head. Slaughter throwing shots but Agrabah is blocking nicely. Slaughter not landing any meaningful shots this time. Agrabah kicks Slaughter off and gets back to his feet. Agrabah misses with a leg kick and Slaughter counters with a good low kick that Agrabah was not able to check. Agrabah throws a leg kick which misses Slaughter's front leg but catches the back leg as Slaughter tries to avoid it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A head kick by Agrabah misses and Slaughter counters with a nice double leg into side control. Agrabah won't be happy with that. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Slaughter misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Slaughter working the ground and pound. This has been an exciting period of action! Slaughter tries to move into full mount but can't pass Agrabah's legs. Slaughter wants to control but Agrabah is keeping him busy.

Slaughter throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Slaughter wants to lay and pray for a moment but Agrabah keeps working. Slaughter working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Agrabah is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Slaughter is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Slaughter wants to control the pace but Agrabah is squirming around nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Agrabah tries to hold on but Slaughter postures up. Slaughter sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Slaughter misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Slaughter wants to control the pace but Agrabah is squirming around nicely. Agrabah tries to hold on but Slaughter pushes him away. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Slaughter controlling from the full mount. Slaughter thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Christian Slaughter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Agrabah thows a leg kick but Slaughter checks it and Slaughter counters with a shoot takedown. Agrabah fights it but they end up in guard. Slaughter has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Slaughter wants to control from the top but Agrabah keeps moving. Slaughter is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Agrabah is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Agrabah has escaped and now he's on top! Slaughter looking to hit a scissor sweep but Agrabah is one step ahead there.

Slaughter throwing strikes but Agrabah manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Agrabah stands up and beckons Slaughter to his feet. Agrabah throws a leg kick that is checked and Slaughter counters with a lovely shot to the body. Slaughter is looking to clinch but Agrabah is avoiding it.
Agrabah lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Agrabah throws a nice inside leg kick. Slaughter shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Agrabah napping and manages to drive through into side control! Slaughter goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Agrabah has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Slaughter but great work by Agrabah.

Slaughter is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Nice shot lands for Agrabah.

enabling Agrabah to counter with a crisp jab. Slaughter has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Agrabah finds it's way round the side to connect with Slaughter's head. Slaughter fails with a takedown attempt. Agrabah lands with a kick to the temple. Slaughter shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
That's four minutes gone in the round. Agrabah throws a leg kick and Slaughter counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Agrabah's guard now. Agrabah looking for a sweep. Not yet Agrabah, not yet. Slaughter is stalling in the full guard. Jafar Agrabah has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Slaughter trying to control but Agrabah is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Christian Slaughter. I think Slaughter has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
