Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ferdinand Marcos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Butch DeLoria (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ferdinand Marcos!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Butch DeLoria!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

DeLoria fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Marcos sprawls well initially but DeLoria persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Marcos is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
DeLoria tries to pass to full mount but Marcos defends it.

DeLoria is working for a submission of some sort.

DeLoria is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Marcos defends it well.
DeLoria prevents Marcos from improving his position.
Marcos is looking to control DeLoria's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Marcos avoid being mounted?

Marcos regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from DeLoria.
DeLoria pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Marcos is keeping the position for now.
Marcos utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
DeLoria trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
DeLoria wants to control from the top but Marcos keeps moving.
Marcos is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Marcos is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
DeLoria pushes down on Marcos's leg and manages to get into half guard.

DeLoria is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Marcos is refusing to be controlled, as DeLoria sits in half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Butch DeLoria was stalling too much, according to the referee.
DeLoria shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Marcos as he avoids it easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
DeLoria misses with a body punch
and Marcos counters with a body kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Butch DeLoria dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


DeLoria ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Marcos moves away.
Marcos swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and DeLoria counters with a right hand to the body.
Marcos looks to land a combination. DeLoria sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Marcos missing with a left hand there. DeLoria was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

DeLoria shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Marcos as he avoids it easily.
Marcos throws a push kick but DeLoria slaps the foot to one side.
DeLoria throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Marcos sees it coming and avoids it easily.
DeLoria misses the shot to the body.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Marcos walks into a stiff left hand from DeLoria.
Marcos swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Marcos throws a lazy uppercut
and DeLoria makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Ferdinand Marcos is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

A combination from Marcos does no damage.
DeLoria misses with a body punch
and Marcos cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Marcos walks into a jab.
A swing and a miss from DeLoria.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
An inside leg kick lands from Marcos.

and DeLoria counters with a straight right hand.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

A close second round but Butch DeLoria will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

DeLoria uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Marcos misses with a body shot
and DeLoria counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Marcos throws a quick inside leg kick.

DeLoria throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Marcos counters with a good low kick that DeLoria was not able to check.
DeLoria misses the body punch

and Marcos counters with a single leg into guard. DeLoria didn't expect that.

DeLoria scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Marcos throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

A punch lands to the side of Marcos 's head but he takes it in his stride.
DeLoria throws a jab when Marcos was well out of range.
DeLoria misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Marcos.

Marcos throws a lazy uppercut
and DeLoria counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Marcos is looking to chop away at DeLoria's legs.
DeLoria swings for the body but Marcos moves out of range.
DeLoria lands with a straight right. Marcos didn't see that one coming.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
DeLoria misses with an uppercut
and Marcos counters with an inside leg kick.
Good work by DeLoria as he checks the leg kick.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
DeLoria gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Marcos.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Marcos is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by DeLoria.
Marcos takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
DeLoria shoots in and drives through. Marcos sprawls well.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Marcos tries to land a leg kick but DeLoria saw it coming and moves away.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
DeLoria lands a nice hook to Marcos's body. Marcos takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

enabling DeLoria to counter with a crisp jab.

Marcos throws an uppercut from half a mile away. DeLoria sees it coming and avoids it easily.
DeLoria uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Marcos.
DeLoria has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Marcos finds it's way round the side to connect with DeLoria's head.
DeLoria has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Marcos.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
DeLoria gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Marcos counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Marcos closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. DeLoria did well to prevent Marcos getting side control.

Marcos throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around DeLoria's waist but DeLoria gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Marcos off to one side.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Marcos keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from DeLoria.
Marcos will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

DeLoria throws a sloppy body shot
and Marcos counters with a nice low kick that buckles DeLoria's knee momentarily.

DeLoria misses with a right hand
and Marcos counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
DeLoria throws a right hand that misses
letting Marcos counter with a right hand.

Marcos throws an overhand right that lands on DeLoria's shoulder, as DeLoria tries to avoid the shot.
