Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chris Mayo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Ochoa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Mayo might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Super Furry Animals - Golden Retriever. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mayo shoots in but Ochoa avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mayo throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Ochoa counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Mayo misses with a left hand
and Ochoa counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Ochoa stuffs the takedown.
Ochoa goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Mayo misses with a lunging right hand
and Ochoa counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mayo cracks Ochoa with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Mayo lands with a hook. Ochoa tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Mayo tries for a takedown but Ochoa sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Mayo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Whack! Ochoa lands a heavy head kick that drops Mayo. The ref tackles Ochoa to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Mayo was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Danny Ochoa!
