Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Travis Lucas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Russo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Russo has chosen Destroy Everything as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Travis Lucas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Russo! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lucas gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Russo counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Lucas shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Russo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Russo keeping full guard, as Lucas tries to pass. Lucas trying to control the position from guard on top but Russo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lucas has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Russo manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Russo is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Lucas to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Lucas shrugs it off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Russo throws some wild stikes that Lucas manages to avoid easily.

Lucas is desperately trying to improve his position but Russo has a good base and remains in mount. Russo looking to land elbow strikes but Lucas uses the position to regain half guard. Russo working Lucas over with strikes. Russo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Lucas defends it well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Russo is keen to just control but Lucas is a slippery customer. Lucas makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Lucas. Russo trying to control but Lucas is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lucas seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Lucas preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Russo throws a strike but Lucas rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Russo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Russo wants to pass the guard but Lucas is defending well. Russo missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Russo is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Russo seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Lucas is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
