Oliver Reed has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Smith. Reed does a little dance to reset his feet.
Smith takes a head kick and keeps coming.

It looks like Austin Smith has been cut.
Reed cracks a nice hook into Smith's ribs.
Reed fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Reed lands with a nice body kick.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Smith throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Reed jabs Smith to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Reed looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Reed lands a front kick.
Oliver Reed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith avoids the body shot from Reed.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Reed.
Reed lands with an overhand left.
Reed throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Reed scores with a push kick.
Reed lands with a hook. Smith tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Reed finds Smith's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Smith flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Reed lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Smith will be OK.
