Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gabe Wills (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shang Chi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shang Chi will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chi throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Chi takes one to the side of the head.
Wills fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Chi sprawls well initially but Wills persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Wills sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Chi defending well though. Wills is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Chi reverses the position - he's now on top in Wills's guard. Wills has control of Chi's left arm, preventing Chi from doing any damage. Chi is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Gabe Wills wasn't doing enough on the ground. Wills throws a hook to the side of Chi's head but Chi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Chi throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Chi digs a good body shot into Wills's ribs. Chi throws a nice head kick!
It looks like Gabe Wills has been cut. Wills ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Chi moves away. Chi stuffs the takedown attempt from Wills. Wills gets slowly back to his feet. Wills uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Chi.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A good leg kick by Chi. This has been an exciting period of action! Chi throws a low kick but Wills moves out of range easily. Chi darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Wills shoots in looking for a takedown but Chi manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wills's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Chi lands with a nice body kick. Chi misses with a head kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Chi stuffs the takedown attempt from Wills. Wills gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gabe Wills. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wills looks to throw the jab but Chi is out of range. Wills throws the left hand but Chi avoids the punch easily. Chi scores with the left hand. Wills knows he should have avoided that one. A swing and a miss from Wills. Shang Chi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Chi connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Chi cracks the inside of Wills's front leg. Chi thows a body kick. Wills tries to catch it but that hurt him. Wills is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wills lands with a shot to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! Wills shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Chi sprawls well. Chi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wills gets slowly back to his feet. Wills just misses with a punch to the body.

and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Chi bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Wills throws a shot from downtown. Chi moves away and avoids it.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Chi scores with a push kick. Chi lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Chi lands with a thumping leg kick.
Chi throws a nice inside leg kick. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Chi with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Wills with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Chi to score with a decent uppercut. A slapping body kick lands there for Chi. A nice leg kick lands there from Chi. Chi throws a front kick that sends Wills stumbling back into the ropes.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Chi thows a body kick. Wills tries to catch it but that hurt him. Chi thumps Wills with a low kick. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Chi.
Wills has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Chi. Wills takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. A slapping leg kick lands for Chi.

enabling Chi to counter with a crisp jab. Chi throws a nice outside leg kick.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Chi scores with a spinning back kick! That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Wills crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Chi - the referee stops the clock and Wills gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Chi. Wills manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Chi.
Chi lands a nice looking body kick. Chi throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chi pushes Wills away with a front kick. Wills stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Chi. Wills takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. Wills keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wills fails with a takedown attempt. Chi lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Wills takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Good leg kick by Chi there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

That's nine minutes gone in the round. Chi lands a glancing blow to the side of Wills's head. A jab lands there for Chi.
Wills is rocked! Wills sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Chi misses with a wild body shot. Chi lands a nice shot to the body.
Wills will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. A head kick misses from Chi. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Chi lands with a good body shot. Chi throws a leg kick which misses Wills's front leg but catches the back leg as Wills tries to avoid it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Shang Chi dominated that round. The cut man is working on Gabe Wills's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Chi scores with a jab. Wills shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Chi pinned against the ropes. Chi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A decent looking body kick lands there for Chi. Chi thumps Wills with a low kick. Chi scores with a push kick.

Wills fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. A slapping body kick lands there for Chi. Chi just misses with a punch to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chi turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Wills is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Wills takes a shot to the body in his stride.

and Chi counters with a nice low kick that buckles Wills's knee momentarily. Wills takes a jab right on the kisser.
Wills misses with a hook. Chi with a hook. Shang Chi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chi looks to land a body kick but Wills moved away. A swing and a miss from Wills. Chi feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Wills's calf.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Chi enables Wills to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Chi manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wills missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Wills has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Wills accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's nine minutes gone in the round. Wills trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Wills is looking to work some ground and pound but Chi has wrist control. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Wills throwing strikes from guard but Chi blocks nicely. Wills postures up and lands a big shot to Chi's brow. Wills is looking to work some ground and pound but Chi has wrist control. Wills with a flurry of punches that miss. Wills trying to control but Chi is working from the bottom. Chi preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Gabe Wills has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Wills postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Chi is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Wills, into his guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Shang Chi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Chi has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
