Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Merrick Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy The Poodle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kane comes into the arena with Blood Sugar - Pendulum blaring out of the sound system. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Merrick Kane! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tommy The Poodle! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kane scores with a head kick.
It looks like Tommy The Poodle has been cut. Kane throws a left that rocks The Poodle and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Kane dives into side control, looking to finish! Can The Poodle regain composure!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kane controls the position. Kane cracks The Poodle with a big right hand but The Poodle just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if The Poodle can do anything to dispel that myth. The Poodle pushes Kane away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kane gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Kane in side control, just content to control the action for now. Kane has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Kane wants to control but The Poodle is keeping him busy. Kane takes a little break here. The Poodle wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kane trying to control the action but The Poodle is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Merrick Kane. Kane pushes The Poodle up against the cage in a clinch. A short right from Kane on the inside. Kane wants a takedown but no success here.

Kane prevents The Poodle from breaking the clinch. The Poodle throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Kanes head. The Poodle wants to get back to striking at distance but Kane won't allow it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kane breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kane throws a head kick that The Poodle semi-blocks.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The Poodle throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kane stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Kane shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. The Poodle throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kane thows a body shot but no joy. Kane looks for a takedown but The Poodle sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Merrick Kane. That's going to take a lot out of him. The Poodle swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
The Poodle takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Kane fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt The Poodle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kane connects with a crisp jab. The Poodle throws a body punch but Kane moves out of range. Kane moves away from the strike by The Poodle. The Poodle throws a body punch but Kane moves out of range. Kane tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. The Poodle manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Kane shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts The Poodle as he jumps to the side. Kane scores with a nice head shot. Kane is looking to land body kicks. The Poodle comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kane drops The Poodle with a left and a right! Oh, The Poodle is hurt - Kane dives into side control looking to finish!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The referee asks Kane politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kane prefers to stall for the moment though. Kane advances nicely into full mount. Kane sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Kane landing shots from mount. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kane controlling the pace for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Merrick Kane dominated that round. The cut man is working on Tommy The Poodle's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
The Poodle avoids the head kick by Kane.
Kane cracks The Poodle with a good jab. Kane swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. The Poodle digs a good body shot into Kane's ribs. The Poodle bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kane's head. This has been an exciting period of action! No joy there for Kane, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The Poodle takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Tommy The Poodle is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. No luck with that takedown attempt from Kane. Kane shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts The Poodle as he jumps to the side.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Poodle misses with a jab, cross combination.
The Poodle throws a series of punches but Kane avoids them all with ease. Tommy The Poodle is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kane blocks a jab. Kane avoids a lazy jab quite easily. The Poodle lands with a shot to the body. The Poodle on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kane. Kane obviously looking to wear him down.
The Poodle throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kane is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that The Poodle can do to turn this around? The Poodle lands with a hook. Kane tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. A looping hook to the body misses from Kane. The Poodle does a little dance to reset his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kane scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kane working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on The Poodle's thigh. The Poodle counters though and makes it back to full guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kane won't allow The Poodle to get back to his feet. Kane trying to control the position from guard on top but The Poodle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kane sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed The Poodle's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kane with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The Poodle has one foot on Kane's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Kane fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches The Poodle on the side of the head. Kane looking for a takedown here - he's got it. The Poodle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kane. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The Poodle is breathing heavily. Kane advances to half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kane is looking for a kimura here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kane is pressing down on The Poodle's thigh, looking to free his foot. The Poodle is holding on for now. The Poodle is trying to stand.

Kane perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Kane is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. The Poodle is looking to escape. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kane keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Kane slips a nice elbow through The Poodle's hands, connecting with The Poodle's forehead. Kane working the head and body with strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kane lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Kane tries to free his leg and advance position but The Poodle is retaining full guard. Kane slips nicely into half guard. Kane controlling the action here. The Poodle takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Ground and pound from Kane.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Poodle is trying to stand up here but Kane is controlling him well. The Poodle tries to kick Kane off in order to stand up. Kane Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Kane advances nicely into full mount. Kane sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The Poodle taking shots to the head. Kane controlling from the full mount. Kane cracks The Poodle with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The Poodle is trying to stand up. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kane sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Kane lands with some strikes. Oooooh, big shot lands for Kane! The Poodle is hurt baaadly! Kane is firing away with more strikes - The Poodle is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Merrick Kane! Merrick Kane is the new super heavyweight champion!
