The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arkley keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Wesson.
Wesson moves in looking to clinch but Arkley pushes him off.
Arkley throws a half hearted mid kick.
Wesson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Arkley paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A clash of legs there as Wesson blocks the low kick.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Wesson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Arkley - the referee stops the clock and Wesson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Arkley. Wesson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to John Wesson.
