Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Russel Ebert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Go Yamamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ebert comes to the cage accompanied by Mean Street - Van Halen. Yamamoto has chosen Ambitionz az a ridah as his entrance music. Go Yamamoto told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Russel Ebert! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Go Yamamoto! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ebert cracks Yamamoto with an open hand slap. Yamamoto drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Yamamoto scores with a sloppy right hand. Ebert should have avoided that one. Ebert throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ebert misses with a hook. Yamamoto keeps Ebert at a distance using the push kick. Yamamoto pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Ebert misses with a looping right. Ebert misses with a double jab
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Ebert takes a body punch but keeps moving. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Yamamoto jabbing away but nothing is landing. A chopping leg kick lands by Yamamoto. Yamamoto just misses with a punch to the body.
Ebert looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Ebert takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Ebert connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Yamamoto tries a low kick but Ebert avoids it. Yamamoto thuds his shin into the meat of Ebert's side. Ebert is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ebert misses with a looping right. Yamamoto throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Yamamoto throws out a powerful jab. Ebert takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Yamamoto moves into range and connects with a jab. Yamamoto looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Yamamoto connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Ebert is rocked! A solid body kick from Yamamoto. Oh Ebert is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Yamamoto looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Ebert seems to have got his legs back now. The fighters circle, before Yamamoto throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Ebert's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Yamamoto lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Go Yamamoto! Go Yamamoto is the new middleweight champion! Go Yamamoto really struggled to get his t-shirt was on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Conviction logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
