Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vladimir Zenin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dre Battle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zenin comes to the cage accompanied by Helloween - Power. Battle has chosen VICTORY REMIX as his entrance music. Dre Battle will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Battle throws a body punch but Zenin moves out of range. Zenin thuds his right hand into Battle's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Zenin lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Zenin connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Battle momentarily.
Zenin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Battle tries to avoid it but Zenin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Battle to the ground. Battle escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Battle lands a really nice looking cross but Zenin seems unphased.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Battle jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
A looping hook to the body misses from Battle. Zenin does a little dance to reset his feet. A big right from Zenin misses. Battle slaps away a takedown attempt from Zenin, before circling back to the center of the mat. Zenin drives through and clinches with Battle against the cage.
Zenin tries for a takedown. No joy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vladimir Zenin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Battle is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Battle on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round. Zenin lands a takedown into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Zenin working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Zenin drops back looking for a leg! Battle is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Battle manages to kick Zenin off! Zenin jumps back into Battle's guard. Zenin advances to half guard. Battle wants to improve his position but Zenin is controlling well.
Zenin is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Zenin won't allow Battle to sweep him here. Battle wants to stand but Zenin is controlling the position. Zenin drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Battle manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Zenin has Battle in his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Battle preventing the sweep. Battle has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Zenin is proving hard to escape from. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Battle decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Battle keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Battle lands a head shot. Battle misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Battle ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Battle cracks Zenin with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Battle misses with a straight right. Zenin tries to clinch but Battle moves out of range. Battle loads up on a big right hand but Zenin slips the punch. Battle swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Decent striking displayed by Battle there. Battle scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Battle fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Zenin manages to avoid it. Zenin lands a jab to the head.
Vladimir Zenin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Excellent takedown into side control there by Zenin. Zenin fails to land a wild elbow strike.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Zenin swings around for an armbar but Battle sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Zenin's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zenin is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Battle is aware though and is defending well. Zenin looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Zenin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Battle can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Battle is sitting in close to Zenin's body. Zenin has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Battle is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Battle is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Zenin.
