The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick from Kai misses.
Kong swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Kai counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Kai misses with a straight right.
Kong steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kai.
A punch lands to the side of Kai 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Kai takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Kai throws out a loose jab but Kong uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kai misses with a series of wild punches.
Kai scores with a decent looking hook.

It looks like Qing Kong has been cut.
Kong lands a leg kick that knocks Kai off balance momentarily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kong throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Kai misses with a right hand
and Kong counters with a body kick that stops Kai in his tracks momentarily.
Kai takes a body punch but keeps moving.
A low kick from Kai misses
and Kong counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kai slips a jab from Kong.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kai pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Kai feints a jab promting Kong to slip. Kai then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kong slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Kong avoids the body shot from Kai.
Kai looks to land a body kick but Kong moved away.
Kong takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Kong throws a hook but Kai avoids it easily.
Kai looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Kai misses with the combination.
Kai will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Nice uppercut lands for Kai. That snapped Kong's head back.
Kong throws a quick inside leg kick.

Kai misses the shot to the body.
Kong moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kai takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

and Kong counters with a head kick that wobbles Kai - left then right he sways and one more bomb from Kong sends him down. This one is all over!
