The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dawkins misses with a wild body shot.
Sato shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Dawkins sizes up Sato with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Dawkins looks to land a body kick but Sato moved away.
Dawkins throws a wild body kick that Sato sees coming a mile off.
Sato on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Dawkins is looking to slow Sato down with leg kicks.
Sato scores with a shot to the body.
Dawkins feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Sato's calf.

Sato slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Sato throws a chopping leg kick but Dawkins manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Sato throws the left hand but Dawkins avoids the punch easily.
Dawkins throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Sato connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dawkins makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Dawkins.

Dawkins is positioning himself well to prevent Sato advancing to mount.
Sato thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Dawkins is staying active underneath Sato, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Dawkins is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sato's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sato's back!

Sato is trying to defend against the choke here but Dawkins has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Dawkins Tightens the hold and Sato taps out furiously! Dawkins displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
