Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Billy Bomber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viktor Herzog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bomber might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to call to prayer. The key to victory for Billy Bomber has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herzog looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
No luck for Herzog with that takedown attempt.
Bomber throws a head kick that misses.
Herzog shoots in for a double leg but Bomber sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Billy Bomber has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Viktor Herzog.
Bomber lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Bomber pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Herzog back to the cage. Bomber follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Bomber.

Bomber has his feet on Herzog's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Good exchange - Bomber coming out on top.
Bomber throws a sloppy head kick and Herzog moves out of range easily.
Bomber leaves Herzog with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bomber throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bomber slaps away a takedown attempt from Herzog, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Herzog shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bomber sprawls well. Bomber wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Herzog gets slowly back to his feet.
Herzog throws a looping overhand right but Bomber ducks down to avoid it.
Bomber throws a head kick that misses.
Herzog is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

and Herzog counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Bomber's guard now.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Herzog controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Herzog accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Herzog throws a strike but Bomber rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bomber wants to get up but he can't break Herzog's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Herzog wants to sweep but no luck.
Herzog is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Bomber avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Herzog working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bomber doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bomber manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bomber gets caught flat footed, as Herzog shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Herzog trying to control the position from guard on top but Bomber is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Herzog forces his way into half guard.
Bomber is staying active underneath Herzog, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Herzog winds up and cracks Bomber with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Herzog takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Herzog has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Bomber defend it? Herzog steps over the head and cranks it - Bomber is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Herzog!
