Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sean Ripgut (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andres Aguinaldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ripgut's entrance music is Abominable Putridity - Throat Fisting Abortion. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Sean Ripgut!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andres Aguinaldo!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aguinaldo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ripgut defends it nicely.

Aguinaldo closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Ripgut's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Aguinaldo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ripgut works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Aguinaldo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Ripgut is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Andres Aguinaldo wasn't active enough on the ground.
Aguinaldo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ripgut tries to avoid it but Aguinaldo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ripgut to the ground. Ripgut escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Sean Ripgut has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andres Aguinaldo.

Ripgut is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Aguinaldo is defending well for now.

Ripgut tries to close the distance and clinch up but Aguinaldo swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Ripgut lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Ripgut feints and then cracks Aguinaldo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Aguinaldo down.

The fighters circle momentarily. Ripgut darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
