Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kurokawa Kenji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Santiago Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martinez is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Major Lazer - Pon De Floor. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez blocks the body kick.
Kenji looks to land a combination but Martinez avoids it well.
Kenji lets loose with a powerful body kick. Martinez will feel that in the morning.
Kenji takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Martinez throws a right hand that Kenji ducks under and follows up with a left that Kenji also avoids with ease.
Kenji misses with a hook. Martinez ducked under it nicely.
Martinez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kenji bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Martinez's head backwards.
Nice body kick from Martinez.
Kenji throws a nice inside leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Martinez connects with a high kick.
Kenji lands a jab.
Kenji fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

The crowd cheers as Martinez lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kenji doesn't seem phased though.
Martinez looks to land a left hand but Kenji moved out of range nicely.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Kenji is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kenji holds on and takes a little breather.

Martinez won't allow Kenji to sweep him here.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kurokawa Kenji.
Martinez steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kenji.
Martinez swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kenji connects with a high kick.


It looks like Santiago Martinez has been cut.
Kenji tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Martinez paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kenji misses with a wild body shot.
Martinez throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kenji counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kenji stuns Martinez with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Martinez throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Martinez misses with a wild body shot.
Kenji connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Martinez.

Some wild striking there from Martinez.
Kenji tries to clinch up.
Kenji is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Martinez.
Martinez finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Kenji takes the fight into the clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Kenji has a couple of punches blocked by Martinez.
Martinez misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Kenji.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kenji throws a head kick that Martinez semi-blocks.
Martinez shoots in for a takedown but Kenji shows good takedown defense.
Martinez misses with a few strikes there.
Kenji lands a nice leg kick that just misses Martinez's sensitive parts.
Martinez takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
A slow jab from Kenji misses its intended target.
Martinez tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kenji was well out of range. Poor timing from Martinez.
Kenji tries to clinch up but Martinez circles away and keeps his distance.
Martinez fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Martinez fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kenji looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Kenji feints and then cracks Martinez's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Martinez down.
Martinez throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Kenji counters with a left to the body.
Kenji tries to clinch up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Martinez scores with a nice body kick.
Kenji throws a head kick that misses.
Kenji throws a poor cross that misses
letting Martinez counter with a right hand.
Martinez throws a body punch but Kenji moves out of range.
Martinez shoots and misses

and Kenji counters with a head kick that drops Martinez to the mat! Martinez scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!


Martinez is rocked!
Kurokawa Kenji has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Santiago Martinez.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kenji looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Kenji backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Martinez's temple! It sends Martinez violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Kenji celebrates and the doctors try to help Martinez!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Kurokawa Kenji!

A very excited looking Kurokawa Kenji made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
