Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sonny Giovanni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Welch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Giovanni might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Til I Collapse [ Eminem ]. The crowd seem to be enjoying Welch's choice of entrance music: Stemm's Face The Pain. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Bryan Welch was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Welch fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Giovanni manages to avoid it.
Welch checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Welch swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Welch buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Donk. Welch catches Giovanni right on the button with a cross.
Giovanni connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Welch slips a jab from Giovanni.
Giovanni takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Welch throws a head kick but Giovanni moves out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Welch throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Welch uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Giovanni.
Sonny Giovanni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Welch throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Welch has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Giovanni.
Welch misses with a wild combination.
Sloppy strikes from Welch. Those never looked like landing.
Giovanni tries a low kick but Welch avoids it.
Giovanni looks to land a body kick but Welch moved away.
Welch scores with a hook.

Welch tries to bum rush Giovanni with a series of wild strikes but Giovanni uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Giovanni buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Welch misses with a series of wild punches.
Welch takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Giovanni throws a leg kick which misses Welch's front leg but catches the back leg as Welch tries to avoid it.
Welch looks gassed!
Giovanni jabs Welch right on the nose. Welch blinks but takes it well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Giovanni drops Welch with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Welch looks back up at him and smiles so Giovanni waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Welch is rocked!

It looks like Bryan Welch has been cut.
A solid leg kick lands there for Giovanni.
Welch is still on wobbly legs! Can Giovanni finish him?
Welch loses concentration momentarily and Giovanni pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Welch crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Giovanni finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
