Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gregory Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sterling Archer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gregory Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sterling Archer!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Archer throws a quick inside leg kick.
Silva shoots in and drives through. Archer sprawls well.
Archer lands the left hand.
Archer stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Archer wants it to stay on the feet.
Archer lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Silva at a distance.
Archer keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gregory Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Archer paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Danga de danga de dang - Archer scores with a four punch combination!
A lazy left from Silva finds it's target.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Silva.
Archer connects with a looping right hand.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Silva crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Archer - the referee stops the clock and Silva gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Archer. Silva manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Silva wants to clinch up but Archer keeps it at a distance.
Silva closes this distance looking for a takedown but Archer circles away.

Silva gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Silva keeping moving, preventing Archer from controlling successfully.
Archer is looking to work some ground and pound but Silva has wrist control.

Archer controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Sterling Archer was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Silva wants to clinch.
Silva throws a sloppy head kick and Archer moves out of range easily.
Archer throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Silva throws the left hand but Archer avoids the punch easily.

Silva closes the distance and clinches up with Archer, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes Archer against the cage but Archer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Archer swats away the attempt to clinch by Silva.
Silva misses with a takedown attempt - Archer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Silva takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Archer scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Silva is breathing heavily.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Silva.
The strikes coming from Silva are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Archer tries to buck Silva off but Silva is having none of it.

Silva is in a bad position with Archer working for a choke. Silva manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.

This has been an exciting period of action!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Archer manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Silva manages to get himself to full guard.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Archer.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Archer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Archer in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Archer is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Archer swings around for an armbar but Silva sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Archer's guard.

Archer looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Silva wants to pass the guard but Archer is keeping the position.
Archer seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Archer wants to sweep here but Silva controlling him for the moment.

Sterling Archer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Archer feints and as Silva raises his hands in defense, Archer changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Archer has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Silva is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Sterling Archer is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Archer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
