Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Derek Waters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sonny Giovanni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Waters comes to the cage accompanied by Hip Hop. Giovanni is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Til I Collapse [ Eminem ]. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Giovanni takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Waters connects with a right hand. Giovanni shakes it off.
Giovanni swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Giovanni blocks a jab.
Waters slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Waters punishes Giovanni's body with a nice straight punch.
Giovanni misses with a hook. Waters ducked under it nicely.
Giovanni tries to close the distance and clinch but Waters swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Giovanni misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Waters comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
A punch lands to the side of Giovanni 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Waters tries to close the distance and clinch but Giovanni swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Giovanni moves in looking to clinch but Waters pushes him off.
A looping hook to the body misses from Waters. Giovanni does a little dance to reset his feet.

A combination from Giovanni does no damage.
Giovanni tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Waters manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Waters throws a series of punches but Giovanni avoids them all with ease.

Oooooh!!! Waters has knocked Giovanni down with a huge combo! Waters steps away and waves a wobbly Giovanni back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Waters bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Waters misses with a body shot.
Giovanni throws a looping overhand right but Waters ducks down to avoid it.
A low kick from Giovanni is predictable there
and Waters counters with a nice body kick.
Danga de danga de dang - Waters scores with a four punch combination!
Waters lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Giovanni is rocked!
Waters lands a nice hook to Giovanni's body. Giovanni takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Giovanni is still on wobbly legs! Can Waters finish him?
Nice shot lands for Waters.
Waters scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Waters lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Giovanni gets tackled into the cage by Waters. Waters maintains the clinch.
Giovanni seems to have recovered his senses.
Waters blocks an uppercut.
Waters lands with a short shot to the head.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Giovanni.

A short body shot lands from Waters as the two fighters clinch.
Waters breaks the clinch.
Waters lands a jab to Giovanni's midsection.
Waters delivers a nice body kick.
Giovanni takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Waters lands a left and a right that send Giovanni crashing to the mat, dazed. Waters thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Waters closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Giovanni! Waters dives in looking to finish! Giovanni is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Derek Waters is the new middleweight champion!
A relieved looking Derek Waters thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
