Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Sabre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duke Torres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matt Sabre has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
29 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Matt Sabre! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Duke Torres! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Franklyn Lucas and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sabre thumps Torres with a low kick. Torres fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sabre. Sabre throws a low kick but Torres moves out of range easily. Torres tries a low kick but Sabre avoids it. Sabre gets tackled into the cage by Torres. Torres maintains the clinch. Sabre landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Sabre taking a breather. Sabre takes a shot to the head. Torres drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Sabre gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Sabre blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Sabre breaks from the clinch.
Sabre lands a leg kick that knocks Torres off balance momentarily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sabre misses with a straight left. A solid leg kick lands there for Torres.
That's one minute gone in the round. Torres cracks the inside of Sabre's front leg. Sabre lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Sabre avoids the head kick by Torres.
Sabre feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Torress jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Sabre uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Torres. Sabre swings away with a body shot that misses
and Torres counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Sabre connects with a crisp jab.
It looks like Duke Torres has been cut. Matt Sabre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sabre throws a leg kick and Torres counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Sabre is lucky that one didn't land flush. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Torres moves away from the strike by Sabre. Sabre fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Torres. Sabre with a jab. Torres uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sabre.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sabre missing with a left hand there. Torres was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Torres tries to clinch but Sabre is having none of it. Torres scores with a nice strike.
It looks like Matt Sabre has been cut. Sabre with a jab. Sabre throws a leg kick and Torres counters with a nice leg kick. Sabre feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Torres's calf. Torres jabbing away but nothing is landing. Torres tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Sabre manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Sabre throws a nice outside leg kick. Sabre fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Torres manages to avoid it. Torres throws a leg kick but Sabre moved away. Sabre lands a head kick!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Torres uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sabre.
A slapping leg kick lands for Sabre.
Sabre connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Sabre uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Torres has time to react. Torres misses with a leg kick. Torres fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sabre sprawls well initially but Torres persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Sabre tries to roll over but Torres keeps him under control. Sabre is trying to control but Torres manages to pass to mount!
Sabre can't escape the position.
Torres punishing his opponent with strikes. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Torres unloads with some shots from mount but Sabre bucks and avoids them well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sabre keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Sabre tries to hold on but Torres postures up. Sabre in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Sabre is trying to escape the mount.
Torres connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Matt Sabre's cut is getting worse. Torres is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Sabre can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Matt Sabre's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Matt Sabre's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Duke Torres! Duke Torres bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
