Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gattsu Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Namor McKenzie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emelianenko comes to the cage accompanied by Eagle Lands. McKenzie has chosen Man From Atlantis as his entrance music. Gattsu Emelianenko could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Namor McKenzie's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by McKenzie there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
McKenzie staying out of range there.
Emelianenko fails with a takedown attempt.

and McKenzie counters with a stiff right hand.
Emelianenko tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McKenzie was well out of range. Poor timing from Emelianenko.

Emelianenko shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. McKenzie defends it nicely.

Namor McKenzie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

It looks like Namor McKenzie has been cut.
Emelianenko takes a swing at McKenzie's ribcage but misses.
Namor McKenzie is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Emelianenko feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

McKenzie tries to free his leg and advance position but Emelianenko is retaining full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
McKenzie fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Emelianenko.
This has been an exciting period of action!
McKenzie stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and McKenzie wants it to stay on the feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Emelianenko is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Emelianenko escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Emelianenko dives in and grabs McKenzie's left leg, looking for a takedown. McKenzie pushes down on Emelianenko's head and hops out.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Emelianenko crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from McKenzie - the referee stops the clock and Emelianenko gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says McKenzie. Emelianenko manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over.

McKenzie has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
McKenzie fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Emelianenko to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Emelianenko looks to clinch but McKenzie throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Emelianenko taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 4, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Namor McKenzie! Namor McKenzie retains his heavyweight title!
In his post fight interview, Namor McKenzie started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
