With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Julio Driggs!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Illya Tyunina and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Driggs with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Julio Driggs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Driggs scores with a one two! Penn had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Driggs throws a right hand that Penn ducks under and follows up with a left that Penn also avoids with ease.
Driggs lands with a cross.
Driggs fails in his attempt to clinch.
Driggs misses with a series of wild punches.
Penn throws a combination that misses
and Driggs counters with a nice uppercut.

Driggs instigates a clinch.
Driggs doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Driggs misses with an elbow strike.
Driggs can't find room to land a body shot as Penn controls the action.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Penn is looking to break free of the clinch but Driggs has double underhooks.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Julio Driggs.
Driggs misses with an attempted mid kick.
Penn rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Driggs moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Driggs fakes the leg kick and cracks Penn in the body.
Driggs changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Penn clobbers Driggs with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Penn is trying to push Driggs away but Driggs has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Driggs tries a body shot but Penn blocks it.

Penn throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

and Driggs cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Driggs connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Driggs misses with a body shot.
Penn throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Penn takes a swing at Driggs's ribcage but misses.

and Driggs counters with a series of strikes. Penn will be more careful next time no doubt.
Driggs scores with a sloppy right hand. Penn should have avoided that one.

It looks like Julio Driggs has been cut.
Driggs fails in his attempt to clinch.
Driggs moves out of range of the strikes.
Driggs scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Penn takes one to the side of the head.
Penn misses with a body shot.
Driggs is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Penn.
Driggs thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Penn if he has to take too many more of those.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Penn, as that shot connected.
Driggs wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Penn throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Driggs sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Penn throws a front kick aimed at Driggs's knee but Driggs avoids it well.

Driggs lands a nice leg kick that just misses Penn's sensitive parts.
Penn takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.


Driggs is rocked!
The fighters circling - Penn throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Driggs is still on wobbly legs! Can Penn finish him?
Penn throws out a loose jab but Driggs uses good head movement to avoid it.
Some wild striking there from Penn.
Driggs get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Driggs stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Penn runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). BeeJay Penn!
During a confident post fight interview, BeeJay Penn thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
