Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Garrett Bisley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vinny Vegas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bisley comes to the cage accompanied by Johnny Cash - God's Gonna Cut You Down. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Garrett Bisley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Vinny Vegas! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bisley shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Vegas as he jumps to the side. Vegas throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Bisley tries to clinch there but Vegas circles away.
Bisley ducks under a wild hook from Vegas. Vegas walks into a stiff left hand from Bisley. Vegas keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bisley throws a predictable looking body shot
and Vegas counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. A big right from Vegas misses. Bisley tries to bum rush Vegas with a series of wild strikes but Vegas uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Jab from Bisley. Garrett Bisley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vegas throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Bisley wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Vegas lands with a kick to the ribs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bisley shoots in and gets a takedown into Vegas's guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Bisley wants to control from the top but Vegas keeps moving. Bisley's corner is telling him to maintain position. Bisley throws an elbow that misses. Vegas uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bisley's guard. Nice move by Vegas! Vegas wants to stand but Bisley is controlling his posture from full guard. Bisley working a defensive guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vegas trying to stand up but can't free himself from Bisley's guard. Bisley working for a triangle but Vegas defends it easily.
Vegas gets to his feet. Bisley looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bisley avoids the body shot from Vegas.

and Vegas counters with a series of strikes. Bisley will be more careful next time no doubt. Bisley doesn't manage to clinch there - Vegas circles away.

enabling Bisley to counter with a crisp jab. Vegas misses with a body kick. The fight stays on the outside here - Bisley looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vegas blocks a jab. Bisley gets a double leg takedown into Vegas's guard. Bisley is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Bisley throws a big elbow that misses. Bisley wants to control from the top but Vegas keeps moving. Bisley tries to free his leg and advance position but Vegas is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bisley wants to control from the top but Vegas keeps moving. Vegas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bisley. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Garrett Bisley. Vegas scores with a jab to the body. Vegas lands with a thumping leg kick.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Vegas.
Jab by Bisley. Vegas goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. This has been an exciting period of action! Vegas misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bisley fails to land with a series of punches.
Bisley fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Vegas manages to avoid it. Bisley avoids the head kick by Vegas.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vegas ducks under a wild hook from Bisley. Bisley shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Vegas sprawls well. Vegas wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bisley gets slowly back to his feet. Bisley misses with a wild body shot. Bisley slips a straight right by Vegas. Bisley is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Bisley shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Vegas but Vegas pushes him off and we're back to square one. Bisley looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Bisley throwing strikes but missing. Bisley loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Bisley will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bisley throws a big elbow that misses. Bisley passes Vegas's left leg - he's now in half guard. Bisley tries to pass to full mount but Vegas defends it. Bisley seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vegas is looking for a sweep. Bisley is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Bisley is looking to pass Vegas's guard but actually Vegas recovers to full guard. Bisley trying to control the position from guard on top but Vegas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Garrett Bisley wasn't doing enough on the ground. Bisley fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Garrett Bisley. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bisley gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Bisley lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Vegas presses Bisley against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Vegas is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Bisley wants a takedown but no success here.

Vinny Vegas seems to be getting the better of the standup. Bisley darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bisley is looking to take a break and control but Vegas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's one minute gone in the round. Vegas throws a right and a left that Bisley avoids nicely. Bisley throws a body punch but Vegas moves out of range. Vinny Vegas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Vegas misses with a leg kick. Vegas throws a shot to the body.

Bisley throws a right hand that Vegas ducks under and follows up with a left that Vegas also avoids with ease. Bisley moves forwards but Vegas connects with a nice, crisp jab. Bisley with a poor takedown and Vegas counters with a slapping leg kick. A slapping leg kick lands for Vegas.
Vegas takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Vegas lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vegas stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Vegas tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Bisley is able to avoid easily. Bisley getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Bisley misses with a takedown attempt - Vegas sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Garrett Bisley. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bisley swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bisley misses with a straight right. Bisley fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Vegas manages to avoid it. Bisley digs a good hook to Vegas's body.

and Bisley counters with a shoot takedown. Vegas fights it but they end up in guard. Vegas is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Bisley slips nicely into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bisley working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Vinny Vegas has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bisley missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Vegas is staying active underneath Bisley, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Vegas pushes Bisley off but Bisley dives into side control.
Bisley working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bisley misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Garrett Bisley. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bisley, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
