Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dae Jung Pak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Virgil Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morgan has chosen Volbeat - Caroline #1 as his entrance music. Virgil Morgan has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dae Jung Pak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Virgil Morgan!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Morgan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pak's guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Pak holds on and takes a little breather.

Morgan drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Pak dives on top into guard.

Morgan had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pak defends it easily.

Morgan is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Pak can't fight it off and eventually Morgan manages to take the fight to the floor. Pak looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Morgan goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Pak takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Morgan fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Pak looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Morgan uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Pak.
Morgan lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.


It looks like Dae Jung Pak has been cut.
Dae Jung Pak is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Morgan lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Morgan dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Oh Pak is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Morgan gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Pak regains guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pak takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Pak is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Morgan has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Morgan connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Pak some visible discomfort.

Morgan lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Pak down.
Morgan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

That's time! Pak's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Pak throws a sloppy head kick and Morgan moves out of range easily.

Virgil Morgan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Morgan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
